Hi Rob - thank you very much indeed for all the info. I've been loosely planning to do the Stalybridge-Dewsbury-Huddersfield run for a while myself, but maybe a simple trip out to The Grove is in order. And I've been meaning to make time for a trip to Beer Ritz for a while as well. My folks live in East Leeds, so next time I visit I think I'll set off an hour early and swing by Headingley.

Tried the Thornbridge Halcyon myself a while back - terrific stuff. And next time I'm at the Marble I plan to try Reluctant Scooper's self-blended chocolate-ginger combo, just to see what happens.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave such a lengthy and detailed comment. Please do feel free to stop by with your 4p-worth any time...

Thornbridge Jaipur is on draft permantly at The Grove Inn, Huddersfield (http://www.groveinn.co.uk/) I've never been to a pub with as big a range of beers, amazing! Jump on the train and do the route from Manchester to Dewsbury as Oz and James did on TV. First off, Stalebridge station pub, then I'd get off at Marsden for the The Riverhead Brewery Tap. Owned by Ossett and with a great micro-brewery. At least 8 real ales on tap at any time. Back on the train to Huddersfield. I didn't care for the Kings Head in the station but the formentioned Grove Inn is a short walk away(a newly installed Brewdog pump is the source of much excitment for myself). Then back on the train to the West Riding in Dewsbury station.

I'm sure you knew all that anyway...

You can also pick up Thornbridge beers at Beer Ritz in Leeds. Run By Zak Avery and a great bunch of lads. This is the best beer shop I've ever been to, incredible!

I paid them a visit yesterday and they had in stock a number of Thornbridge beers in bottles. Jaipur, Halcyon (Amazing!), Kipling (Very nice) and the full range of Alliance ales The beer brewed in alliance with Garret Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery. Two of the beers have been aged in Sherry and Madeira casks for extra flavour.

Also, I think I must have ventured up to The Marble Arch a few days before you. Loved the Dodder and the Stout. I also picked up 3 bottles while I was there. The IPA, Chocolate stout and the Tawney.
